The goal of this textbook is to give an introduction to the formal rules that have to be acquired by a beginner programmer. The programming paradigm chosen is object-oriented approach because of its popularity and relevance. As the title suggests, the book is focused on the practical aspects of C++ programming. Many examples and problems are given together with their solutions explained step-by-step in order to reveal the the oretical principles that have to be acquired by the reader. Since there is more than one possible working solution to the majority of problems, special attention is given to good programming practices and style.The textbook is aimed mainly at students in first and second year of their studies in the program “Networking Technologies" at New Bulgarian University, but it can also be be used by any beginner as a guide in solution of problems in programming.
